Although it sucks that you now have to pay, I find that perfectly understandable for a great piece of software.

They should work on an interface that is more usable though!

I use uICE from www.mediatexx.com . It is $19.99. I think it has a better interface than girder . There is a free 30 day trial . It works on even Hauppauge Black remote. You can use any remote with a Philips code on the Hauppauge built in remote and add extra buttons than the Black Hauppauge remote. It works on other remotes too. I use a 5 device Sony TV remote with uICE and Snapstream on a wintv card with built in ir remote receiver . I can send a preset if anybody want it. It is simple to make your own too. I customize a lot and have 2 sets of actions for some keys depending on the layout. Some keys I set to auto change layouts every other press. You can reuse keys with uICE and has a TIMER to shutdown the computer that can be set with the remote .

The trick to useing a preset is to go to ACTIONS and click new Application and then use the drop box to pick applications you have loaded. Then you have to define the remote keys to the keys in the profile.
