I noticed in the PVRapp.ini file there is references to [Master] and [Slave]

Made me think for a moment that I could somehow have SS installed on another machine on my network and control a remote machine (the "Master") via the "Slave" or "Worker" machine.

That is exactly what I want to do, which I know can be done via the web interface, but I want it to happen in fullscreen so I can have a computer connected to my TV in the livingroom and control the SS recording machine with the tuner in it in the basement.

I know using network shares I can watch the recorded programs fullscreen on the remote computer, but I cannot add recordings using the GUI guide or other things that would be nice to do via remote control/full screen interface.

Is there a way to do that, is it perhaps in the works?

There is talk of a client interface being written. However, there is no actual specifications defined as far as what a client will do. So, I would say, *maybe, just maybe*, this will be implemented into the client interface.

back in the 1.x and 2.x days there was the ability to seperate parts of the engine into master/slave components and have one performing recordings while another would perform compression, storage, streaming, etc. and im sure that most of that functionality is still under the hood but it is probably so hacked up that it wont work if you were to mess around with the ini files.
