USB Capture Device w/Digital & Analog

Okay, the Snapstream s/w looks like the coolest s/w to come along in a loooonngg time. I am going to buy the s/w for sure. I have not purchased a capture device but am considering the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-usb2. I currently have analog DirectTV but want to migrate to Digital/HDTV next year.

Does anyone know if there are any USB capture devices that will accept Digital and Analog? The USB's from Hauppauge go for around $200 and my preference is to buy only one.

Right now you're going to have to make the choice to go with analog or wait for the digital cards and the software to catch up.

The real problem with digital right now imho (HTDV) is that they're going to be implementing the Broadcast Flag in the US with HDTV. It's going to kill the tv recorder market for sure... It's sure proof that the media producers out there are nothing but greedy bastards who don't give a flip about "Fair Use", which is what this software and even VCR's are all about.

I'd go analog. I'm not changing to HDTV for a while. I have a home theatre projection system that I am in no hurry to replace.
