Old shows listed in upcoming recordings

I have been using SS for about a month. I have many recordings scheduled as "record new episodes". Due to some of the network's changing schedules, some of my scheduled recordings got pre-empted by higher priority ones. Now I have three entries (pre-empted shows) in my upcoming recordings with dates in the past.

1) Are these shows listed because SS will attempt to record these episodes the next time they are aired as a re-run?

2) Will SS eventually delete these scheduled recordings?

3) Must I delete these manually?
