Hi All.
My first post, please bear with me. I picked up a Pinnacle PCTV Pro and a Hauppage Media MVP with the intent of recording on
my pc and streaming to a 42" mitsubishi tv. The picture is pretty much unwatchable on either my monitor or T.V. My question is, is there a differance between the different capture cards? Or am I expecting too much?

try bumping the default recording quality up a notch:
webadmin->configure->recording settings->quality

and see if that makes any improvements, also you might want to check out the 3rd party decoders article since you are going the software only route:

I'm more than willing to change cards if that will make a difference. Looking for suggestion on that also.

well for the best u can get it is basically accepted around here that the pvr-250/350 is going to be the best quality you can get

The pvr 350 has hardware decoding (output), however SnapStream currently does not support this feature. So as far as SnapStream is concerned they are the same.

Well I picked up a PVR250 and I can't believe the difference in quality. Thanks for your input.
