Looking for a search feature

I've found one thing that my ReplayTV seems to have over the SnapStream. With the RPTV box I often program it to search for a specific program. For example I was looking for the movie, "Winchester 73" a while back. I could program the ReplayTV to always search the guides for a show with that title. (my Dad used to work at Winchester and I wanted to get a copy of that movie for him) I forgot about it after a few months and then almost a year later, one day "there it was". The ReplayTV just kept searching the guides every day until the show showed up almost a year later. Since then I've often used that "programmable search" to find missing episodes of my favorite shows that I was collecting.

Snapstream can of course do a "real time" search but only for the currently valid guide information. (I think)

Plus, it's sort of a "manual" thing for programming. I don't think I can just type in say "Encounter at Farpoint" and have it search the titles from now on automatically, unattended.

I would like to be able to make a "custom" search that would have Snapstream check every new guide everytime it downloads one. Is this possible, or should it be a feature request?

Perhaps this feature does exist and I just don't know about it yet? (wouldn't be the first time I've had egg on my face)

On Snapstream.net you can do a search of the recent guide data and then tell it to save that search as a "favorite". It will then keep that favorite and alert you with an email when a match is found.

Version 3.4 will probably have this integrated into the FSUI like the Replay has.

Thanks Manny .. Yeah I use that feature. But I don't want to be "alerted", I just want it to record it when it finds it. I still have to tell SS to record it when it's found.

Even so, it would be nice to at least have that in the full screen mode.
