Nightly Update question (program guide update)

Hi All,

Is there a way to set a specific time frame as to when you want the nightly update to occurr?

I'm trying to schedule DEFRAG to run as a task and I'm trying to avoid having it run at the same time the database gets updated or when I have shows being recorded.

2nd question is, is there any impact on a show that is being recorded at the time the database is being updated?

I've searched past posts but did't quite find the answers to those. I saw one guy who was having problems with the update and his shows being affected but I think that was an older version and also I'm not sure about his PC configuration.

It is my understanding that the database update is supposed to happen at random during a given time frame (sometime during the night I suppose). It should not affect any recordings which are in progress.

That matches what I see in the logs.
Mine show up different times but it seems to be in the 8-10pm window for me.

it attempts to do it roughly every 24 hours but it picks a random start time when snasptream firsts launches so that all of the snapstream users arent sucking from the server at the same time.
