Has anyone tried streaming over wireless/pocket pc's?

Apologize if this has been covered, haven't seen a clear yes or no. I was wondering if anyone has tried a wireless lan card with one of the lower bandwidth recording modes?

Thnaks,

What about pocket pc?

Yes, I stream the Near VHS video over my 802.11 wireless network. My other PC is connected via a Linksys WUSB11 network card. I am satified with the quality.

As far as streaming to a Pocket PC, I have not been satified with the results. I have an IPAQ 3835 and a Linksys WPC11 PC Card. I am able to browse to my snapstream site and select one of my PocketPC encoded files to play. With the default Windows Media Player 8 settings, I only hear the audio. If I go to Audio/Video Settings and change the Play Unsupported Files - Video to Yes. I get video but only about 1 fps. So it is very choppy.

I am able to play the same PocketPC encoded files on my IPAQ with satisfactory results.

Thanks for the update, have you tried transcoding to a slower speed, maybe isdn or something custom.

After playing around with this for a while, it seems there is a problem with the Web pages when using Pocket IE.

I am able to stream PocketPC - IPAQ standard files. The issue seems to be that when you select a file to watch in Pocket IE it always tries to play the file from the Primary Store. It's kind of strange the way the watch page is displayed in Pocket IE, in that the tabs are not displayed. It is just a list and I was scrolling down to the PocketPC part of the list and selecting the entry to play. I noticed that it always plays the corresponding file from the Primary store. So just to test it I moved a show from the PocketPC directory to the Primary directory and was able to stream it to WMP 8 for PocketPC.
