PVS3 and ATI All In Wonder VE

I recently received the ATI card as a gift and was wondering if anyone has tried out the ATI card with PVS. The Screen Savers have been promoting PVS pretty hard and mentioned the ATI card as a card to get for it, but they have never discussed whether the PVS software is an improvement over the software that comes with the ATI card.

Anyones suggestion, including wait until Snapstream gets all the bugs out of PVS 3 would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Yes, it works.

Yes, it works with it fine. I've used both tuner and line in, I prefer using Line In on any capture device than rely on the built in tuner, it's much cleaner.

My situation exactly. I've got an AIW 7500, and just got PVS3 on the Screen Savers' rec. I've been playing with it all day, trying to decide if I like it better. There are ups and downs. The user interface and program lineup is FAR cooler than ATI's unattractive setup. Downside is that the PVS will only record in MPEG2. So, if you want to create VCD's or smaller MPEG files, you have to reencode. The cool part of this is that you can reencode into a variety of formats, including a ready-made Personal PC movie.

The program is a memory hog, and it has locked up a couple of times, but I think (hope) it will be worth the fifty bucks. You can't get rid of the ATI stuff, though, because you'll still need it for inputting other devices, like VCR and composite.
