Unhappy Lose QAM mapping when I update guide

Windows XP (latest updates)
Beyond TV (latest release)
HDHomeRun Dual
HDHomeRun (two tuner one RF input)
HDHomeRun PRIME 3CC (only used for clear QAM with Beyond TV)
Hauppauge (analog & digital RF inputs)
Avermedia A188C (digital)

Most of the time when I load the latest guide I lose the QAM channels. Not in the guide, but when I try to "view" one of them (on any of the QAM tuners). However the Hauppauge analog (being fed by a Comcast box) works, as does the Avermedia (with outside antenna). I then have to close Beyond TV, bring up setup, delete all the QAM tuners and then re-install (re-scan) them to be operational again. This doesn't happen all the time, and I only try to do an update of the guide when no recording is going happening, and I do not do "automatic updates". Any thoughts?

Re: Lose QAM mapping when I update guide

Wow, never seen this problem before. I have heard of losing QAM mapping if the lineups are updated, but not the guide.

Try disabling Lineup Change Detection in the web admin (Snapstream.Net section).

What version of BTV are you using?

Re: Lose QAM mapping when I update guide

As fate would have it, this just happened to me too. A channel I record from sometimes was just moved to a different channel on Fios, so I enabled Lineup Change Detection and updated the Guide. That fixed the channel but broke my QAM mapping.

And now in the Setup Wizard my original HDHR's aren't showing any channels in BTV although they work fine with their own software.

Criminey!

I've been seeing that (or something similar) since I got my HDHRs years ago. I don't know what the deal is, but when I scan using QuickTV or HDHR setup, I can see all the clear QAM channels. Then when I go to BTV setup wizard to map the ones I care about, it will tune a channel (say, 80-5) for a split second, then it goes down to 79-1 or something and won't go back to the channel (if I go back up it skips past 80-5 to the next one it can tune). No matter what I do I can't map it. That has happened so many times, it drives me crazy because mapping QAMs takes a long time. This issue doesn't appear with OTA tuning, fortunately.
