Getting completely off C:?
Is it possible to *COMPLETELY* move BTV off my C: drive? The problem is that the C: drive was meant for Windows only stuff, yet BTV insists on dumping its staging files in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Beyond TV, taking almost 500MB.
Can I move it and tweak registry settings to point to the new location, or should I just reinstall on D:? Moving would be preferable, but I could reinstall. Thanks, Bret |

Apps that read from ""x:\Documents and Settings" most likely expect the folder to reside on the same drive as the OS directory. You could put the BTV binaries in a different drive but BTV still expects the said folder to reside on the OS drive. |

Re: Getting completely off C:?
Tweakui will let you move your Documents directory to D:. Haven't found an app that doesn't handle it.

I installed BTV on the second drive and then used a registry editor that allowed me to change all of the BTV stuff that still pointed to c:, to the second drive. My problems may have been resolved in later versions of BTV, as I recall it was one of early versions, but I never tried it again because of the instability.
