SnapStream announced "world's largest DVR" at NAB show. It can record 50 channels simultaneously.

They also have a contest to name it, with a new iPad as a prize.

Which is somewhat interesting since I think a device such as the iPad would make a great remote control for TV and household. If only there was a BTV Link app. :-)

Call me a Pollyanna if you like, but I hope to see SnapStream enterprise do well. In my opinion, the stronger the company, the more chance there is BTV consumer version will remain serviceable for me to continue enjoying.

I've also been hoping for improvements in archiving functions in BTV for a while now. And I'm sure they've got to come up with some better ways to manage 13 years worth of recordings. So maybe something could still end up trickling down from Enterprise.
