AVC 3610 (Adaptec USB Dual Tuner) and Windows 7

Good morning!

I've just gotten around to hooking up an old AVC-3610 dual USB (analog) tuner that I bought on Ebay some time ago.

In Windows 7, the device is found, but it appears to only find 1 device, despite the description in device manager as a dual tuner device. Naturally, BTV only sees one tuner in Setup Wizard. I was wondering if anyone has any experience in this older tuner and Windows 7?

Thanks!

Sometimes you need to install the driver twice with dual tuner cards. The tuners are likely on a USB hub within the device and only one was bound to the driver.

Re: AVC 3610 (Adaptec USB Dual Tuner) and Windows 7

Thanks BanjoH! I was surprised that Windows didn't have a built in driver or one that it would download from Windows Update - according to Windows 7 HCL, this device is supported, but it wouldn't find a driver. Then I realized that I have all of my machines connect to a single WSUS server - so all windows updates come from that server, which doesn't have any drivers downloaded. I ran a manual Windows Update and it detected updated drivers. After a reboot, suddenly I had a bang in Device Manager corresponding to the second tuner.

A quick "Update Drivers" click and now I have 2 tuners!
