recommend cooler for tt tenor

hi!
first post here
i not so sure what cooler to buy for this case. mostly beacouse the height, i think maximum will be 120mm.

do anyone have this case ? which cooler are you using?

i will like to put a zalman 9700 buts i think its too tall, also i could get a 9500 used.
someone recommend me a Scythe Shuriken, but i don't like the performance.
also gemini II could be other option, but it has bad reviews.
TRUE, big typhoon and all the beasts cant fit in that case

my specs:
core 2 duo e4500 (normally at 3ghz,but now its summer here so i cant go more than 2,7ghz)
GA-DS3L
2 gb ST 800mhz CAS4
TT purepower 430w

it think no more info is needed.

thanks!!

What does your CPU temp run at? What kind of case do you have?
If your CPU is under 60C, you're probably alright with the one you have. My D930 runs at 58C idle, 70C under stress in an open case. The e4500 runs very cool. If you're overclocking then, you might need to throttle that back a bit. I don't think it's really needed but it may depend on your tuners, hard disk configuration, and OS.
The case you have will also help cool your system. If it's a closed case like some of the HTPC's are, you'll have a lot of heat build up in the case. I have Antec's Nine Hundred and Mini P180 and both have a lot of cooling.

Re: recommend cooler for tt tenor

I sued to run a 9500 in my tenor. It fits, but just barely. I am also very happy with the cooler listed in my sig.

Re: recommend cooler for tt tenor

No. Good question. I could only use one fan. But its position is pretty good and cooling has been just fine for my quad core in really cramped quarters (inside a tv stand with a receiver sitting on top of it).

Here is the best pic I have. Unless you are willing to hack off the end of the fan backet, it will also invade one of your 5.25 bays.

Although, if you were going to use onboard graphics and such and not use a lot of your expansion slots you could turn it 90 degrees and use two fans which would take in air through both the cpu intake holes and the gpu intake holes on the top. Maybe not thebest solution. Like I said the 9500 will fit. But the gemini will be quieter.
