Tuner Help
I've been using BTV with just a single tuner (PVR-150) to record standard cable shows, not through my cable box. I can only get analog channels with this obviously, not a problem for the most part. I've recently wanted to add the capability to record the unscrambled digital channels as well, again not through the cable box. Without thinking or checking these forums, I went ahead and purchased a Hauppauge HVR-1600, thinking this would solve my problem. It didn't. For one, I can't get the card to work with BTV (which I think I'll be able to fix), but after reading up on it some more, apparently it won't do what I want anyway.
1. What is a recommendation for getting the unscrambled digital channels to work in BTV without going through my cable box? 2. I'm not using an HDTV yet, is the 1600 worth keeping since I just record SD TV? Any help is appreciated.

the only way to get clear QAM right now that is supported by Beyond TV is with the HDHomeRun TV tuner.

Thanks for the reply. Obviously after digging a bit more in the threads, I found that the QAM\digital issue is a problem for quite a few.
