when recording on harddrive the play back choppy or shuddery
when i record a show on the harddrive if i play it back on media 10 it plays back choppy or shuttery .i am using xp home edition with a amd 38 plus ,2 gig of rams ,nvidia pci e card with the newest drivers .2 sata drives with recording on the extra harddrive .does anyone have a poss solution for my problem

Your video card may not be fast enough. HDTV playback takes something like 12 Gb/s of video memory bandwidth. You can usually find the memory bandwidth spec for your video card on the manufacturer's web site. I had an AMD 2400 with a GeForce 6600GT and it sometimes stuttered. I just upgraded to a dual core Intel chip and a GeForce 7600GT video adapter and now it plays very smoothly.

Use VLC instead of Windows Media Player and it should solve the stuttering without needing a new card. This of course won't do anything to help playback from within BTV.
