Lineup question (can't find analog lineup)

Hi all,

I have 2 Hauppauge PVR-150 cards, one is connected to RF analog input and the other is connected to a cable box via IR Blaster. The 2 cards worked very well with BTV in the past.

However, my local cable provider (Rogers) recently changed their lineup, and this change wasn't picked up by BTV automatically, so I've recorded some programs on the wrong channel because of this change.

To 'force' the change in BTV, I deleted the channel lineup for both cards and then re-created them. This did solve the lineup change problem.

However, for whatever reason, when I re-created the lineup for these cards the only available lineup for me to choose was "Rogers Digital lineup (Non-rebuild)". Basically, only the full digital lineup is available.

That works well for the PVR card that's connected to the digital box controlled by IR blaster, but my analog PVR card now "thinks" it has access to all the channels, and I've recorded a few "blank programs" because it tries to tune to a digital channel on RF.

I tried 'deleting' the invalid channels (basically, everything above 102) from the analog card's lineup, but it won't let me, I guess because it's a lineup provided by the service provider. In the 'customize lineup' menu I can only "hide" the channels I don't want to see in the program guide. The analog card still thinks it has access to those digital channels. It does what it says basically, just 'hide' those channels, not delete them.

This sucks because I was used to using my analog card as the primary PVR card, my digital card as my secondary ... if I keep that config. I'll end up recording a blank channel everytime I try to record off a digital channel.

I could change the digital card as primary, but that still doesn't fix my problem. Basically everytime I have a conflict with 2 digital channel recording at the same time, instead of telling me I have a conflict I'll end up with a 'blank' recording.

Can anyone help? Is there anyway I can get that analog lineup back in my lineup setting?!

(btw, I am able to get the analog lineup in my snapstream.net setting no problem ... just don't have that lineup available to me when I'm in the advanced setup of BTV on my HTPC)

When you hide a channel, it is the same as deleting it, since BTV won't try to record from it... It sounds like you have not actually associated that modified lineup to your analog tuner...

Oh really? Hmm let me try it again then ... in the admin menu it already shows the 2 'input cards' are associated to the 2 different channel lineups with different customized lineup's.

But I'll double check tonight. Thanks.

I got it fixed, and here's what I found for anyone else who run into the same problem.

The problem with the setup I had, was both capture cards were associated with the same channel lineup (Rogers digital premium non-rebuild or something like that). So therefore by 'hiding' channels on 1 card, it automatically does it for the other card too. Because of that, I can't 'hide' the digital channels from the analog card, or else I lose them on both cards.

I tried different things and still couldn't fix the problem, so eventually I deleted all channel lineups, deleted all input cards, and just ran the setup wizard again.

And it works like a charm now.
