This program sucks

I really want to like snapstream, but since the new version came out it has been a gigantic pile of crap. Once again I came home to watch the playoffs and found that the game I had scheduled to record didn't bother to record. No explanation. Just didn't feel like it. When I left a few hours before, I checked and it was set to record.

Yesterday it decided to delete a recorded game from last week. No reason. Just thought it was time to go.

It will not record from the two inputs. It will one day. And then the next simply decide not to do it anymore.

I paid good money for this application and it simply does not work. It was fine before the latest version. Now it is just a useless, aggravating piece of shit. I am so pissed off at snapstream and this pile of catshit they tricked me into purchasing. Stay away from this until they get their shit together. Right now it is a very unstable beta that will not do what it is set to do.

Re: This program sucks

How did they trick you into purchasing?

We can likely help if you give us more information. Rants are worthless.

What does the log say about

1) The show that didn't record
2) The show that was deleted.

Post the information and we can help troubleshoot.

Or uninstall it.

Re: This program sucks

Couldn't disagree with you more.

Everything here has worked flawlessly for me. Support has been great. Troublefree with no exceptions - and no I don't work for them.

Want trouble, try the other three-letter company that make really good graphic cards without decent support and software to run the tv app they offer.

If something is wrong, something is wrong - there are only a half billion possiblities other than BTV for your issues. We can help, but your post doesn't do much for our wanting to.

Re: This program sucks

You could also go back to version 4.4 as well. I saw a thread last night with a link to it.

Take a look at the rest of his posts. It is a recurring theme of whine and provide no info.

Re: This program sucks

I'm gonna do the opposite of him and whine about how much good BTV has done for me.
I can now go out socialize and come home to watch my favorite shows recorded on my PC. I have the option of backing up all my recordings via showsqueeze or use the DVD burn plugin. Watching sports games are the best especially when I can pause rewind and see if there was a penalty.
I hate how good this program is, cause I spend half my night watching all the new shows I have recorded.

Re: This program sucks

Yeah, and I really hate how I miss all of those commercials. Real bummer when I can watch a one-hour show in 40 minutes or less without the commercials. Its like I'm missing something.

On top of that, my wife and kid are always on to me about how easy it is to use. They're always complaining about how they can pause a show in the living room and then go to the family room or bedroom and resume that show right from where they left off. I mean, what if they forgot what they had just watched those first 20 minutes man!

Re: This program sucks

Well I am knew to all of this and I set up several movies to record and none recorded. What I found with a little common sense was I have Dual Turner and one of the turners set up wrong and BTV was selecting this turner. Net results no record.
