Yea, I just figured this out!
Darnit - having a large library of films and not being too concerned with TV per se, I'm bummed.

Works wondefully on the guide for me, and the Top Rated category is just excellent.
I wonder if there would be a way to filter by number of votes in IMDB.
We all know that it takes at least 100 votes or more before the thing has much meaning.....

Has anyone talked about connecting this up with BTVShowInfo?
Seems the IMDB data could be written in there via BTVShowInfo....

Actually, from BTV-Negociator (link in my signature), you can search the IMDb web site for those movies and add the informations. I don't think that I'm saving the rating anywhere though. I did look into using a local version of the database, but found it to be too messy, and decided to stick with the web site.

The plugin is great, we use the ratings all the time to decide what to watch.

One question, is there any way to turn off the password prompt when it runs?
My server is local lan access only, so I dont have a need for a login prompt at all.

I'd like to get rid of the password too. I wish I knew how to do it myself.

So for automating this I have used SmartFTP to schedule the actually download and then I use Syncback Free to unzip and move it into my IMDB folder for processing. I schedule this once a week even though the file only gets updated once a month maybe (I think). If anyone wants to know more info please just let me know ... it wasn't that hard after I figured out the script for 7-zip.

In syncback I use the program tab to run the 7-zip program to unzip the gz file. The setting I use is this:

C:\Progra~1\7-Zip\7z.exe e "C:\Documents and Settings\hpvr\My Documents\ratings.list.gz\" -oc:\video -y

The "e" means to extract the "-o" is setting the output to c:\video

Then in syncback I move from the destination of c:\video to my imdb folder.

I just uploaded v1.3 to SnapStream, which has an automatic logon feature. Should be up in the next few days. Drop me a note if you'd like an early copy.

I am running 4.8.1 Beta. Looks like there is some change to the way BTVLicenseManager.Logon() is handled. I am now getting the "Unable to Logon to Beyond TV server" on a system with no password set.

Am I mistaken or - at one time - did this add the ratings into the guide and recording info? I see the ratings only if you go through searching for movies - not when you just peruse the guide.

Or - a more likely scenario - did I miss something?

I think the rating is added to the description field, so anywhere you see the description, you should be seeing the rating...

Problem is I'm not seeing it anywhere BUT when I look through movies. it's not in the guide, after something records etc.

I just realized that not ALL movies are rated... I must not be too discriminating.
