HI. I'm new.

And apparently a complete bonehead. I have been rebuilding my HTPC and psoting in the wrong spot. Mamba and a couple others have been gracious enough to still help me even though I am mildly stupider than the status quo.

Anway, here is a link to that thread for those who care.

I am just glad to finally find a group of people with my same interests.

Re: HI. I'm new.

Since there is no user way to move/delete a post here don't feel too bad about the near miss. How goes the build? As for the HD tuner, I'm happy with my Vbox...dead easy to install/setup...any future tuners I add will be USB also.

Re: HI. I'm new.

The build goes well. Overall it is pretty solid, no more blue screen but I still get the SPI error when I boot plus when I can the bios it freezes when I select exit and save changes. Maybe the bios thingy need a new watch battery. I got it hooked up to the tv last night and the kids played some games on noggin.com and we watch a little bit of a dvd. I still have a lot of setup to do but I am going to wait until the new mobo comes in.

I do like the Nvidia's ability to do 1080i. even though I have a 720p tv, its still nice that I can do that.

One down side, I finally realized that the 6 foot range on my Logitech Cordless MX Duo ain't gonna cut it. I need to find a ketboard/mouse combo that can do 15+ feet.
