The Jumpy Plots:
Heroes would be a better show if they stuck to one thing at a time. Explain a little bit more about how these people got their powers rather than throwing them out there to save the world all at once.
UH, 4400 didn't really explain how they got their powers. Sure they just appeared out of the mist. Was it an alien abduction or what? Why/how did they get their powers?

Come on, it's all a mystery to keep you hooked. I like how Hero's gives you a little and then goes back and explains the mystery. Yes, it is slow paced but it is a top quality show. I'm liking they are starting off slow, hopefully to speed it up when their powers get matured.

Re: Heroes

I'm glad you agree that Heroes is slow. Too slow for my taste, but what are you going to do?

The 4400 doesn't jump back and forth that often, and when they do it is very brief and reveals something important about the character they are focusing on. They don't kill the momentum that was building up with an entire episode of flashbacks like "Six Months Ago".

Regardless, I agree that Heroes is a good quality show, which I will continue to watch. Although I think that is is complete BS for a program to make you wait over a month for the next episode. If there was a season finale, then fine, but don't make people wait for over a month for the next episode in the same season. I hate network TV.

To wrap up my analysis, I will reitterate that I think its pretty obvious that "Heroes" is a blatant X-Men/Justice League rip-off. I'm surprised that they aren't getting sued by Marvel and/or DC. I'm guessing that the more people who become interested in superheroes, the better for them (Marvel/DC) in the end as well.

Lets see if this rings a bell:
A bunch of people discover they have extraordinary powers and join up to save the world from destruction. hmm, sounds familiar. Nah, totally original!!

I really dig 4400. There's nothing wrong with either series. Then again, I recently watched all three seasons of 'First Wave' and really digged it.

Heroes is very cleverly written. There are a dozen subplots in every episode and clues are threaded throughout the entire series.

Well, I applied for a "position" and tried the toll free number. What a surprise, the toll free number just gets you to voice mail!

I hope I get hired!

I was talking about the access number written in back of the card given to Mohinder by rimmed glasses guy. I guess they really didn't show the number in this episode. Unless someone has it on HD and can see what he wrote on it before he handed it Mohinder.

I'll fire up VideoReDo when I get home from lunch and I'll let you know. It may very well be the same number, though.

I must have n00b written all over my face. You mean I'm not supposed to give them my real phone numbers, or an email address set-up just for signups?

Darn it.

Well, you are from Saskatchewan (like me), so I just assumed you were not wise to the ways of the world.

When he's writing there is a cigar box in the way. When he hands over the card he actually hands over TWO cards. I'm sure this was intentional...there's absolutely no way that we could have seen that number.

Thanks. That's what I thought. When you call the 800 number it ask you to press a number for 1-3 or enter the access number. That's what was written on back of the card. I guess it will be in a episode in the near future. Hopefully next MONDAY!!!!!
