nope that wont work...because if i select the digital line up, the times are correct but its going to record on channel 40... and my tuner card sees it on channel 39.

if i select the lineup with channel 39, then it will record on the right channel but with the wrong time.

I'm going to try and use the xmltv listing to do this. Looks like the utility to import the xml listing lets me specific the channel for each station.

Re: channel lineup - wrong times or wrong channels

ok well it seems i got it working by downloading an alternate lineup from zap2it.com and then using an importer on that xml file ... during the import process i can set which channels each network is on... its nice having that ability but its also a pita since i had to set the channels for each and every network. So for now i have everything on the correct channels at the correct times.

this isnt ideal though since now i have to remember to periodically update the guide and i've lost the ability to schedule a remote recording through snapstream.net since i'm not using their guide data now.

hopefully someone at snapstream will come up with a better solution (like being able to over-ride the guide data and specify a channel for a particular network)

Re: channel lineup - wrong times or wrong channels

Can you not set up two lineups? One Snapstream lineup (so you get all the other functionality for the other channels) and just hide the problematic channels, and than use the third party lineup for the problematic channels as you already figured out. Sort of what Fonceur was saying. That may be the closest workaround until the data provider fixes their data.

Re: channel lineup - wrong times or wrong channels

Merk, here is the fix:

Create a new lineup using Monterey Park Cable Ready TV.

When BeyondTV starts you should have multiple listings for most channels.

Go into the web interface through advanced settings on the system tray icon context menu.

go into channels.

select the correct lineup from the drop-down.

hide channel the second channel 3 and save.

close and restart BTV.

You should be good to go. Worked for me.
