btv link 4.4 liscencing issue with trial version of link

forgive me if this has been discussed in the past. i couldnt find any thing in the search

i upgraded to version 4.4 and the computer i was using to record the shows wasnt up to the task with any 4.xx version of btv it appears so i switched the hardware and moved beyond tv to that computer. then went to install a trial version of btv link 4.40 onto the system that i removed btv from

now when i run beyond tv link on the computer that used to have beyond tv running on. after selecting the computer i get a pause and then i get a message saying the name of the computer -this license cannot be used to access this server remotely. what am i doing wrong. when i had btv on that computer i could use the same version of the link program and access to that computer with a trial liscence...

am i doing something wrong or do i need to remove something that hasnt been removed?
