BTV Link using Software Renderer!?!

I have a new Toshbia laptop (Tablet) and want to use it as my 'carrying around to watch TV' machine. I loaded up BTV Link, but when I start it, I get the message that it is switching to a Software Renderer.

It has the Intel 945 Integrated video, which should be more than adequate. It has DirectX 9 installed. It has WinDVD installed, so it has a decoder other than just the SS one.

Any suggestions? It works, but not for HD, which is my goal.
