Network optimized video stream in BTV link
I would like to suggest a option for a network optimized video stream in BTV for BTV link. It would work like this: If the network is "congested" BTV automatically readjusts the video steam quality to a lower quality to produce a continous stream of video. Sometimes I just want to see the video and not interested in the quality (example news, documentaries, cartoons,etc.). This would also be idea for people on wireless networks too. Yes, there is Orb but I want the control of my shows found in BTV link.
Unless of course there is some undocumented "hack" in BTV that I don't know of.... |

Re: Network optimized video stream in BTV link
How about just the option to configure the playback bandwidth of Link seperate to the recording qualities setting. For example: If you are watching on the BTV machine then it uses the recording setting. If you are watching through link it uses another setting. If there is a conflict with tuners then the link settings could use another tuner card and not allow BTV to see the output.
