On-screen display... doesn't (black background, no text)

For some reason, if I ever bring up any other window or the start menu, the on-screen display for BTV4 no longer functions properly. I need to shutdown the viewscape, and restart it.

For example, if I'm watching TV, and I decide to open up another application, hitting the 'i' on the keyboard to get show info will show a black block of nothingness where the show info would normally appear.

Any suggestions? I'm running the Nvidia 84.21 display drivers on a 7600GT with DirectX 9.0c, and pureVideo.

This didn't used to happen before -- I just noticed it. I don't believe anything has changed (but obviously something must have...)
