*sigh* hasn't changed in the new GM.
Still hoping to see this before 4.2 is finally released. I don't think non-beta people will even realize that the "Record on any channel" feature even exists unless some more work is done on the UI.

I doubt you will. I think they have things locked down and just gonna fix minor things.

In some cases, I wouldn't want it to record on all channels, so I'm not sure I would want that as a default. For example, I set up a record all for the Munsters on my server with HD and analog tuners. HD is nice, but it really isn't necessary for a show like the Munsters. I would rather (or also) have the ability to exclude HD or SD from the record on all. Exclude specific channels (not all of my channels have the same signal quality) would also be nice, but that sounds messy just thinking about it.

Or instead of exclude HD/SD, select the specific tuners that you want included/excluded.

or exclude channel lineups. I'm sure I'll be using analog cable for at least a few more years. And I'd like it if I could record on all channels except digital cable ones, which I could accomplish if I could exclude the seperate lineup that contains the digital channels.
