2 Tuners and two "default" recording settings

I KNOW this is here somewhere, I also KNOW that I've set this up before, but for the life of me I CAN NOT figure this simple little sucker out:

One tuner - PVR 250, set at MPEG recording, a default of my creation.
Another tuner, ATi TV Wonder set to use DiVx (when I actually use it) BUT I want to change the profile THAT tuner is using as the default and I CAN NOT for the life of me remember where/how to do this.

That is where I set MPEG or Divx, where do I set WHICH profile OF MPEG or Divx I want as the default?

That's what I'm asking. I can't remember where you set what the default profile is when you pick which format.

I don't think you can (or I can't find it either). It just seems to let you choose a high level format, and then uses the recording quality default for that format

I know you can 'cause I've done it - before going to 4.x AND adding another tuner, but even if I delete the 2nd tuner, there should be a place where I set which is the default recording profile - there used to be a "page" where you'd pick a profile and there would be an option for "default".

I might have to file a tech tag of this.

What you want should be possible, I know I've done that before as well. But I can't find it either.

I was wondering the same thing, more or less. I have a PVR-150, as well as a AIW9800. The 9800 is a software encoding card, so I only want to use it to record if the PVR-150 is being used. Basically I want to set the PVR-150 as the default tuner card, and the AIW as a secondary. Is it possible?

I'm certainly no expert, but I'm 99% sure... when you are using BTV setup, specify the PVR-150 first, then the AIW9800.

You can also change the order using the Web Admin/Video Inputs section.

What I don't think you can do (I have never been able to make it work) is have a different default quality for each tuner or a different default format (MPG/WMV/AVI etc) for each tuner.

I have a different default format for each tuner on one of my servers. I have a Plextor ConvertX M402U and a WinTVGo FM. The default format for the Plextor is set to Divx Video. The default format for the WinTVGo is set to Windows media. I have the plextor first in the list so that it is used for recordings. I use the WinTVGO for streaming live TV. I just checked a recording from yesterday, and it was an .avi file, and I just tested live TV, so the WinTVGo is using wmv.

I still haven't been able to find a way to use anything but the default quality for each format/tuner.

So, if I'm getting this right, the first tuner in the list will be used for recording, and the second in the list used for streaming tv, or conflicting recordings?
