Multiple Tuners?

Y'all getting tired of me yet? o.k. I've noticed that several of you have 3 different tuners i.e. pvr 350, 250, and 150. Did you split the signal at the PC? and is the signal weak?

I've noticed the pvr 500 has one TV in, but it looks like it works only with Media Center Edition.

Trying to figure this stuff out----signals are already split in the attic between several rooms. tony

Re: Multiple Tuners?

I use the PVR-500 which works with BTV. I just have standard cable so the coax comes in and the card spits it to its two tuners.

this is all very confusing, but it is getting easier. You're using a standard type of pvr 500?

Re: Multiple Tuners?

There is only one model of pvr 500 - that is says mce is misleading. It will work in XP Pro, Home and MCE.

Re: Multiple Tuners?

Yes, sorry that I was vague. The PVR-500MCE is the only real name for it but it works with the XP OS also. The difference between MCE products and the other products in their PVR line are that the MCE products, I believe, don't come with their DVR software. With the MCE products, like the PVR-500MCE, they expect you to use Media Center or BeyondTV to record TV.

Re: Multiple Tuners?

thanks for the responses. I'm slower than most when it comes to this stuff. I have the pvr 350 and am trying to use it to record camcorder videos and vcr tapes using the wintv software. It is working pretty well, but have sync issues with audio and video.

Re: Multiple Tuners?

So.....your saying that a standard cable input (coax) is split as it enters the card....but how is the second tuner setup?....or do you not need to...ie automatically done and you can record on 2 channels at once?
