Re: USB 2.0 TV tuner on a USB 1.1
To a point - your bitrate would need to be set quite low (Fair should work and Good quality *might* work) and be sure that no other USB devices are hooked up as USB is a shared protocol and USB 1.1's 12MB bandwidth would be split amongst the items.
Ultimately you would have to experiment with your bitrates to get a good stream from the unit.

You could install a usb 2 card if you have an empty pci slot if the results aren't what you expect.

Re: USB 2.0 TV tuner on a USB 1.1
I do not have an empty PCI slot. I would have to pull out my firewire pci card and switch one with a combo fire wire and USB 2.0.
I plan on doing that but it would have to be for a good price and have two fire wire ports. I can have just one 2.0 since I have a USB 2.0 hub.

I dunno what a "good price" is for you, but I have one of these and have had great success with it:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16815104223R I run my 2 Adaptec USB tuners from it as well as use one of the firewire ports for changing channels on my DCT-6200.

Just one word of advice. I have the Hauppauge PVR-USB2, which I like a lot, but it doesn't like running through a hub.
