Program Guide is wrong

I just noticed that the program guide si wrong, both for my OTA tuner and Cable TV.

Tonight there are two different episodes of "Sex and the City" - I confirmed on titantv.com!
In BTV, the two episodes are displayed as one and the same, as if they were showing the same episode back to back.
As a matter of fact, all upcoming "Sex and the City" shows in the next 14 days are displayed like this.

The same goes for "That '70s Show"

So is there a pattern here? Yes, both of these shows air two different episodes back to back.
BTV Guide shows the two episodes as one and the same.

I tried the following without any results:
1. Re-downloading the guide info.
2. Deleting the source and the lineup, then adding it.
3. Checked snapstream.net, and it displays wrong information there as well.
4. Deleted the lineup from snapstream.net

Can someone please check these particular shows and let me know if they have the same problem?

TIA,
Vladi

Re: Program Guide is wrong

In addition to what your seeing, I notice another problem with the program guide.
For example I wanted to record the TV series Lost.
I believe it airs on Wedneday night from 8:00pm-9:00pm Central time.
For some reason the Program Guide lists the airing as 8:00pm-9:01pm. (one additional minute at the end)
If you try to record another program on another channel which is listed correctly as running from 9:00pm-10:00pm, you get the alert that says something like: "This recording is conflicting with another recording...etc..etc".

Because of this flaw I can't record anything that starts at 9:00pm.
Is it something I'm doing wrong? or do I just add it to the laundry list of bugs I've encountered?

Re: Program Guide is wrong

It's not a flaw with snapstream or BTV. Lost is really scheduled for 61 minutes. ER is scheduled for 62, it starts at 9:59 and ends at 11:01. That's just two shows taht are scheduled that way, there are more. NBC is notorious for doing that just to cause the problems you describe. They want you to actually sit there and watch the show rather than record it. Ad dollars after all.

BTV is supposed to work around it by making one show miss the conflicting minute but it can't always.

Re: Program Guide is wrong

OK, but this is a different issue. Is actually anyone able to check the guide for the two episodes of Sex and the City tonight - do they show as two different episodes or as one and the same episode aired two times?

Re: Program Guide is wrong

As a side note this has been submitted to SS as as formal defect. The dev seemed quite happy that I found it.
