Order ID?

I can't find my Order ID and so haven't been able to upgrade from 3.x to 4.0. Is there any chance this was stored somewhere on my hard drive during installation?

Frankly, this is a bit annoying. I was surprised that I didn't save the order e-mail, but this is the first time I've needed it for a physical product. I have dozens of archived e-mails for purchases of downloadable software, but I'm really surprised that having the original box, original install disk and product key stamped on the original disk's CD sleeve isn't enough to process an upgrade order. I suppose someone out there is scratching his or her head about needing to find a year-and-a-half old receipt for the copy of BTV that they bought at a bricks-and-mortar store, too.

LOL i have to agree. A bit strange with all the information they want. I truly don't have my receipt and I am sure many don't. I am sure they know this and realize they will be getting much more money over this upgrade.

Kinda sad especially after all the problems I had with my installation of BTV 3.7.2

Go the other way , other stores , and put a aproximative date of purchase and it works.
I won't upgrade now cause by the looks of it there are still a lot of bugs to be solved and to be honest I don't need all the bells and whistles BTV4 adds.

I found away since I dont have my order # either. Go to the Contact Page at Snapstream and select the link for "Retrieve your product key from here"

It emailed me the key as well as a link for downloading v4.

Still doesn't work. After downloading the BTV4 from the link, it asks for your product id and won't accept the existing one.

My bad, it seems from other posts, as well as the email I recieved this morning, all it takes is an email to orders@snapstream.com. I gave them my current key and told them the month I ordered it. They fixed it right up.

Now I just have to decide when to try the upgrade.

They may have fixed this, but the first day BTV4 was released I entered my product key, then saw the orderID page. I didn't have it, so I just submitted it without a orderID and it took me to the upgrade page.

My name is Richard. I am a developer here at SnapStream. I looked into this issue with order IDs and talked aroudn to tech support. The correct thing to do at this moment is send an email to orders@snapstream.com with your situation. There are alot of people wanting to upgrade that the moment (currently a queue of 150+ emails!). They are expecting this issue and are working as fast as they can. Stay vigilant! =)

is the upgrade from 3.x to 4.0 still free? I received the email regarding the upgrade and followed the link. I actually found my purchase reciept from SS and entered the id, but it still said the upgrade was 29 dollars. From the sounds of the previous posts, it sounds like your upgrades were free. Am I missing something?

It's free if you purchased BTV 3.X on July 26th or later.
