Exit Back To Main Menu Slow!!

I upgraded to 3.7.4 and have noticed than whenever I try to exit back to the main BTV menu, it is slow. It takes about 10 seconds or so to show the menu. This happens when watching a recording or live tv and then exiting back to menu.

I recently upgraded my video card (Gigabyte 6600GT) as well, but I'm not sure if this was happening with my old video card (Ati 7500) because I only used it for a day with BTV 3.7.4.

I think my problem may be the MB supports 2x and 4x AGP, but the 6600GT is 8x.

Nope that wont be the problem.. The card will use 4x agp..
What DirectX version are you using? Are you using Overlay in BTV?

I remember seeing this at one time on my system. I think it had to due w/ the decoder selected.

Too long ago but give that a try and see if the time varies at all based on decoder.

I tried each decoder I had all with the same results. I tried my old card again, and this time BTV exits normal. I think it has something to do with the card, but I just don't know what. This card is also giving my trouble with BM. The display in BM is all messed up and unreadable after wathing any type of video.

I'm not sure what else to do, but I think it is the 6600GT.

Well I've been trying a few different things and it seems I have come across something that is working. I first made sure my BIOS was reading at least it max of 4x for AGP and upgraded to the latest drivers (81.85), but that did not work at first. I then found out that it would work fine as long as I was not in full screen mode, which I prefer. I then tried changeing it in the web admin to used hardware de-interlacing and 3D rendering and now exiting from Live TV is a lot faster.

If I try to use overlay, it is again slow, so I'm forced to used 3D rendering. Now I just have to work or improving the vidoe quaility as when watching Standard Cable, it does not apper as good when watching Standard Cable through the TV directly.
