Oh well. It's been nine days and here I go again. I am still getting the same black screen.

It's very hard for me to troubleshoot this problem because I work 3rd shift and the black screen seems to occur when I'm sleep or at work. I do believe this is a hardware issue though because it seems that I am the only one in this forum who is having this problem. I may be having IRQ issues or something. I wanted to get a small box when I built my system because I wanted something that looked attractive next to my A/V equipment. I had to get a micro ATX motherboard with only 3 PCI slots. 2 of the slots have Hauppauge wintv-pvr-250mce cards and the other slot has a sata controller in it(I had to buy this because my onboard controller would not see all of my hard drive). I also have an XFXforce Geforce4 4000 in my AGP slot. When I installed the 2 Hauppauge cards, I began having Ethernet problems. I ended up buying a USB2.0 to Ethernet adapter to bypass the problem. I have in the past had problems installing PCI devices on other systems in the first PCI slot after the AGP card. I really don't have any options with this board because it only has 3 slots. I think I may have to use one of my desktop computers at home as a test machine to see if the problem moves to the new machine. I will say that I have not been impressed with this ECS mother board which I bought at a cheap price. I hate to admit it, but I think I might have to end up buying a new box and motherboard which more slots. Who knows? I may even be having heat issues. Everthing is sort of crammed in this small Micro ATX box. I may have to resolve this one on my own.
