No Sound After First Recording (W2k)
Now this is strange. I've finally got everything working and can record a show either manually or automatically with no problem. The problem comes after the first show is recorded: if I haven't rebooted since the first recording, everything else records WITHOUT SOUND. I'd really like to get this working because the quality of video and sound on the first recording is absolutely excellent. ATI-TV Wonder, Win2k, DX8, etc.... |

I have the same problem. You shouldn't be able to access the TV viewing program either after the first recording. Try it and tell me if you can. I think it has to do with the driver not being released properly. At least that is what the TV Viewer program says.

Quite the contrary, I can access the TV Viewing program afterwards with no problems; I even have sound! This leads me to believe it's a SnapStream issue, not a driver issue.

I have the same problem with my ATI tv wonder using the win2000 drivers. If I use my video editing program and manually reset the second crossbar the way it's supposed to be, it starts working again. This avoids a reboot, but it's still a pain. I think it has something to do with the way snapstream stops capturing. It seems to screw up the audio link and then not get it back on the next recording.

I'd be interested to hear if SnapStream is working on a fix. This is the only issue keeping me from purchasing their otherwise fantastic PVR solution. |

I am having the exact same problem. Unfortunately, it also happens with PowerVCR which makes me think it is not a snapstream problem but an ATI driver issue. I think ATI's TV software works because it is not using the WDM drivers.
Any hope for a fix? |

I've had the same problem with the ATI TV Tuner itself. I found out that if I mute the TV then unmute it it works correctly. I think it's a ATI driver issue too. Maybe a temp fix for this problem can be incorporated into Snapstream? I don't see the harm in muting and then unmuting the tv right before recording starts. It may make more people buy this product before ATI fixes thier problem. Then they can take this feature out or leave it in since it really doesn't do any harm.
