FF during DVD playback hangs BM

If I use Beyond Media's build in DVD player the Play, Pause, Stop, PrevChapter and NextChapter buttons on the FireFly all work fine. But the FastForward button hangs BeyondMedia (DVD movie keeps playing) and all the FireFly buttons stop working. I have to Ctl-Alt-Delete and kill the BM program and restart it to recover. Once BM is killed the FireFly remote starts working again. Anyone have a fix?

Same problem here. It seems to do it when FF is used to skip ahead more than once (held down). I have not seen it happen on occasional FF.

I've seen this also and opened a trouble ticket. It was never resolved. I am using an Airboard as the remote.

When I try to FF a DVD in Beyond Media I get the attached screen....

Beyond Media encountered an unknown exception.

System.DividebyZeroException: Attempted to divide by zero.

Beyond Media then completely freezes and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Delete and shut it down.

Yet somehow everything works just fine in PowerDVD.....not sure why this is....?

Anyone have a fix ?



PS. I'm running Win2K....

sounds like a straight up bug, I would suggest giving your description and screenshot to tech support.

I have never gotten the hard crash with the divide check, BM just occasionally locks up with FF. I went through the trouble ticket process, but the issue was never resolved. This is one of several issues that I have (SPDIF out among them) that I hope are being addressed in the next release.
