Re: BTV2DVD Automated chapter cut and archive/burn to disk - from within ViewScape

Steve,

Scott again. Just a refresher of the problem - when I burned the recorded TV show to DVD and then played it back on my TV, there were black bars around all 4 corners of the picture and the picture was almost perfectly square. The original content was broadcast in a widescreen format. Now, in answer to your question, when I play the DVD on my computer, it is much better. In fact, it almost looks correct from the original broadcast. If I play back in full screen mode, I can still see black bars on the left and right sides which were not part of the original broadcast. However, they are very small and not distracting in any way. All in all, the video is quite acceptable when played back on my PC and does not look strecthed or distorted. It seems to only be squared and have wide black vertical bars when played back in my home DVD player onto the television. Any ideas or is this just the way it is? Thanks!!

Scott

When I look at the DVD2Burn directory, the VTS_02_0.VOB file is there! So what's the problem? is it the drive path? I have changed the Path to reflect the BTV2DVD directory,

ok I re-downloaded the dvd2btv_beta.exe I noticed it had a 10:38 PM creation time. The one I was using previously had a 10:00 "or so" AM creation time.

ran through the multi-disc process and

PHASE: Dvdvideo realloc failed

Required file 'VIDEO_TS.VOB' is not present

[!] DVD-Video files reallocation failed

NeroAPI reports: DVD-Video files reallocation failed.

still no go

That worked! Menu and all the multi titles.

I'll do a couple of runs without the prompts.

does the neroNET thing work yet with neroCMD? If so this would be fantastic for my setup.

Re: BTV2DVD Automated chapter cut and archive/burn to disk - from within ViewScape

Hi Shurato,

I had a similar realloc problem when burning dvds with menu's using dvdauthor.

I found the problem was related to the --dvdvideo_realloc parameter being used with nerocmd. By commenting out the parameter in the params.txt file I was able to get round this problem. Maybe this is related to a particular version of nerocmd. I have version nerocmd version 1.7.0.0 which has Nero API version 6.0.0.16. Type nerocmd --version to get the version info.

Re: BTV2DVD Automated chapter cut and archive/burn to disk - from within ViewScape

Okay,

I was able to complete the full process without any visible errors, but when I checked the data on the DVD, there is only 18 MB of info listed. I recorded 2 episodes of the Apprentice, and only about 30 Seconds of video is actually recoreded.

Help!

I'll check which version of nerocmd I'm using. But I do know it is the lateset as I usually keep Nero fully patched to the current release list at their site.

The prompts were clean.. also I noticed the sequence is better when the erase DVD option is checked. It used to run the erase then prompt that it would take 19 sec.... now it prompts about the 19sec and the ok click launches the erase.

Kieth,

When I look at the dvd2burn dir, the file is correct, and I can see all of the recording, but the DVD only shows the first 30 seconds of each episode....Could it be Nero?

Re: BTV2DVD Automated chapter cut and archive/burn to disk - from within ViewScape

Keith,

The file is still on the Hard drive, When the Nerocmd.exe command is run, the DVD+R is burned, but with only 30 Secs each title. The burn2dvd directory is still on the Hard drive, and I can open the VTS_01_1.VOB, and watch the video, but it does not get transfered to the DVD.

I keep getting the division by 0, make sure cutter program is in the app path error also. I have downloaded the latest beta and basedrivers. I was able to process 1 which I wanted to do multi-title. It worked. but now, when I go to add another and run it, I get the same error.
