Arrow what are users doing with Dish Network and ATI tuners

wondering what other users are doing to control Dish Network signals with an ATI tuner card. I've heard various stories about the IR blaster either working or not. Presently I've got to set the tuner to the station and then the software can capture the programs. Would sure like to have the software be able to select stations.
Let me know what you are doing with similar setups.

Re: what are users doing with Dish Network and ATI tuners

MyIr blaster works for me using a dish network receiver. I prefer using a hardware encoding card like the Hauppauge pvr-250
instead of the software based AIW for recording, the picture seems clearer and the main processor isn't overworked while
recording and watching a recorded show at the same time.
Hope this helps.

Are you able to tune using the Hauppage card ? Or is that for encoding while recording only?
thanks

The myblaster sets the satellite channel. The encoder card takes whatever is output from the satellite through the s-video or composite video input.
You need to get one of the ir blasters to change the satellite channels
with btv. Does anyone use the pvr-150 with the built in ir with the dish network?
