Link access via shortcut with password
So, I read to add "/networkclient:<COMPUTERNAME> /networkpassword:<PASSWORD>" to the shortcut to connect automatically, but it doesn't work.
If I disable security, I can put the networkclient in and it will connect automatically. However, if I enable security, it doesn't prompt for a password like I would expect. It simply presents that list of available servers as if the networkclient parameter were not specified. And specifying networkpassword changes nothing. Has anyone gotten this to successfully work? |

Re: Link access via shortcut with password
Is this with 3.5.2?

Re: Link access via shortcut with password
Hey Freak,
I'm having the exact same problem. I have a password and the "automatic" switches don't seem to make any difference. I have tried with the IP address instead of the name, running the command from a dos window instead of a shortcut, but I always get prompted to choose the server and then enter the password. Same thing happened on 3.5.1. Has anyone been able to do this without disabling security? Thanks. Enzo |

Re: Link access via shortcut with password
I've had the same issues with 3.5.3. I can get Link to automatically login to my backend, but only if the security is disabled. The second I enable it, I have to pick the tv server again even without adding the password tag.

Re: Link access via shortcut with password
A support request was put in for this issue before the release of 3.5.3 so I'm kinda curious as to why it's still a bug in 3.5.3

Re: Link access via shortcut with password
Sorry for the problem -- apparently the commandline was changed -- try this instead: /networkclientpassword
