Program Guide does not exist - Custom Possible?

I live in a College run apartment complex in Berkeley, CA (The University owns it). As a result we are subscribed to satellite, I'm not sure what service, but it apears to be DirecTV. This in itself is not a problem, but the way it is transmitted to the apartment is. Everyone is hooked up to the satellite via regular coaxial cable. This changes all the channels around. For instance, channel 2 is KTVU (FOX), channel 3 is HBO EAST, channel 5 (CBS), Channel 24 is MTV University. So right now I currently have the program guide set on DirecTV which has some channels correct, but the majority not. Is there a way to use a custom guide to define channels for different networks, like changing HBO 2 from channel 552 to 8? I know SageTV has this feature, but have been unable to locate it with BeyondTV, or is there a website that allows you to customize your program guide beyond hiding or showing? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Basically, there isn't any way to redefine the channels. This thread discusses it, and points to some possible workarounds:
