Re: [plugin] DVD Library (January 8 Update)

Kilrsat - one feature request I have is, like BTV and Power DVD, the option to "resume playback where you left off."

I'm not sure if this is anything you can do in DVDL, or if this is just a shortcoming of BM, but it would be nice to have.

Could you do this in DVDL?

P.S. Thanks for all your hard work on this awesome plugin.

I'd LOVE "resume playback". That would make it perfect.

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (January 8 Update)

I might of missed this, got through the first and last 5 pages and didn't see anyone experiencing my issue.

Just installed DVD Library, only have Band of Brothers and Six Feet Under ripped to my hard drive in .VOB format (using DVD Shrink).

My problem is that it's detecting everything as either strange Japanese movies, or kids movies (Easy to learn magic, little rascals, bicycling through history... ) I removed everything, restarted, rescanned, same thing. Am I doing something wrong?

My Directory structure is as follows:

C:\DVD\Band of Brothers\Disk 1\*.VOB
C:\DVD\Band of Brothers\Disk 2\*.VOB
C:\DVD\Band of Brothers\Disk 3\*.VOB
etc, etc
C:\DVD\Six Feet Under Season 1\Disk 1\*.VOB
C:\DVD\Six Feet Under Season 1\Disk 2\*.VOB
etc, etc
C:\DVD\Six Feet Under Season 2\Disk 1\*.VOB
C:\DVD\Six Feet Under Season 2\Disk 2\*.VOB
etc, etc

Can anyone shed any light for me? As a new Beyond Media user, this was something I was hoping it would do from the get go... so glad this plugin exists.

Thanks

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (January 8 Update)

Disk vs. Disc.

Change your Ks to Cs and it should work, and remove the space between Disc and the number.

Example:

Disc1
Disc2

Mmm...seems to me that's more an aspect of your particlular player, wot? Like ZoomPlayer can do this, but the BM DVD player does not.

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (January 8 Update)

This is a GREAT plugin! I installed it and it worked very well, right out of the box so to speak. I have noticed that some of my DVD's do not show up any hints why? Thanks for all of the effort.

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (January 8 Update)

Hello Im not sure if this feature has been requested (I searched but did not see a mention of this), but could you possibly add .ts files to your list recognized formats? I have a growing list of hd movies recorded and would like to browse it through your great interface..tia

Thumbs up Is there a way to get released Date of movies?

Hi, Just installed and started using this plugin, and I've got say, It's GREAT!

Easy to use, great interface, etc....

I would like to know if there's an option to display the "Released Date" of movies?

I always like to display when the movie was released, that way I can say "wow that movie was made x years ago!".

Thanks again for a great plugin....

Re: Missing DVD Cover Art

Can someone tell me where are all the dvd cover arts are located, so I can manually set the ones that I don't have cover art for. I'm sure this is addressed
somewhere in this thread, but it is gotten to be pretty long!

Oh yea! This plugin is almost as good as BTV itself!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks In Advance,

Kleenkut13

And from an earlier thread:
"You can change the poster for the movie inside the interface already. Select the movie, go to options, select edit movie details, scroll down to the bottom, you'll find Poster. It will let you browse to the new file."

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (January 8 Update)

I'm trying to setup DVD Library to use a custom player for DVD's (the first entry in the Player settings). I'm using the argument {0} to pass to the player.

In the DVD Library MSWord document, it states that when selecting the option to "Play DVD Disc", it passes just the path to the folder containing the *.vob files. The player I want to use needs the video_ts.ifo so I have it configured as "{0}\video_ts.ifo", just as in the directions.

However, it doesn't seem to work. Whenever I check the log of my custom app, it is trying to use the file that is passed to it:

E:\\VIDEO_TS\video_ts.ifo.

I think the double-backslash is screwing it up. Is this a known issue that DVD library passes the C/C++ style syntax. Or could it be something that I'm doing?

I'm *so* close!

btw, does DVD Library just use the BM DVD player? And is that player PowerDVD that is located in the BM subdir?

Thanks,

Essentially you'd specify a number of files that were mandatory and a number of files to be selected at random.
preMovieManager (pMM) does just this and I have it nearly working. See my post above about my one remaining problem. If I switched to using TheaterTek or Zoomplayer, I probably wouldn't even have that issue.

I select a movie and hit Play and trivia appers for my set time. Then a couple of Dolby Digital intros appear followed by a "now our feature presentation" clip, then the selected movie itself. Where it is currently bombing is the movie itself that pMM received from DVDL and passes off to PowerDVD.

And I can't play .mov trailers becuase PowerDVD doesn't support that file type... so switching to one that can may be the ticket...
