It should be working the same as it always has. Is there a specific type of file and player combination it isn't working for?

Text field would be fine too.

I currently just add the disk number after the movie title. It works but is not ideal.

Kilsrat has been great at adding features to this plugin, and I am sure that if it's possible and worthwhile, we'll see this feature in a future release.

Its on my list for things to add next time.

There's so many pages now, maybe you should start a new thread for a new release?

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (November 9 Update)

I am happy to see that a text field will be added to offline movie discriptions. I sort my DVDs by disk number.

Has anyone had problems getting the filters to work? I select a author and it doses not sort my movies. It gives me the complete list. I tried actor also. nothing is filtering. I even made a new genre called Baby, to list all the movies for my 2 yr old, an no sorting.

Do I have to import my 650 movie collection again to get the filters to work?

Thanks,
AZman

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (November 9 Update)

Can you describe what you're trying to do, what buttons you're pressing, what you expect to be happening, what is happening, and any important settings (such as partenal limits)?

I just walked through my standard filter test and everything is working fine. No, you shouldn't have to reimport anything, if its currently broken it will most likely still be broken.

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (November 9 Update)

I am having problems playing VOB files ripped with DVD decrypter. I rip them to a directory--and import them into the library (the import works great). But when I select them to play, it says no "DVD volume found" on a black screen.

I have installed Daemon tools--and I am guessing it is a problem in the daemon tools set-up. Can anyone point me in the right direction here? I was playing with this all weekend--and did search this thread, but can't find an answer.

Thanks in advance.

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (November 9 Update)

If you're ripping in VOB format, then Daemon Tools is not being used. The important key to remember in this case is to rip the full disc, not main movie only or any of the other options.

Really?

I rip only the main movie all the time and it runs great using the DVD Library plugin.

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (November 9 Update)

I did rip the whole movie....hmmm. I can click on a VOB file and it opens up PowerDVD and plays it...so I don't think it is the ripping process.

Maybe I'll try ripping to an ISO image and trying that....

If its working for you, keep doing it. I had a few things go funky when I was doing testing with it, so my standard line is to recommend not doing it. Maybe I'll investigate things a bit more over the weekend and see if I can update the recommended best practices.

I am having the same problem with one movie (reported a page back). I tried an ISO file but it didn't even get to the "No DVD Volume" screen (it wouldn't even try to play the movie). My other movies work fine so I am not sure what is so special about this one (it is the Titanic).
