Avermedia M150 woes

I've tried in vain to get this card to work as a 3rd tuner in my PVR (PVR250 and PVR250BTV are the other cards) and it just won't work with BTV. Works fine with AMCAP, WME, and other programs I've tried, but I always get the "Failed to build TV graph" error in the BTV setup wizard. Tried ignoring the error but BTV refuses to work with the card. I've tried every driver version and tried it in three different systems.

I've read other posts about reinstalling everything, well I've done that too. It just seems to me that if AMCAP can work with the card, and properly tune the channels, then why can't BTV?

Re: Avermedia M150 woes

I can feel your pain. The one thing that I did that I thing helped was that all of the drivers got removed (AverMedia and Hauppauge) when I did an hwclear. Then reinstalling the drivers one card at a time - disabled the second card in Windows and just installed the AverMedia. Then enabled the second card and installed the drivers also.

I will post a note that you might experience some issues with the AverMedia and Hauppauge cards - I had issues with the contrast/brightness after a couple of days. Only way to clear it is to reinstall, but after 1 reinstall it came back. Waiting for a few $$ and the 500's to become available and supported, then will just ship to that one.
