VCD or SVCD Support?
What do I need to do to burn a show onto CD? I've copied one onto a CD-R, but Windows Media Player won't play it. I spent alot of time on the road, and I'd like to be able to record the shows, and then watch them on my laptop when I'm away from home.

Converting ASF files to VCD or SVCD (as your subject mentions) is a WHOLE other discussion.
But, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to play an ASF after it's burned to a CDR. I've probably got 20 discs full of files that I recorded with SnapStream and then burned to CDs. I'd suggest looking for some other issue if you can't get your ASFs to play from a CDR. Any chance your laptop CD-ROM drive isn't able to read CDRs? Older drives often can't read from the red or green tinted CDR discs. |

I was able to make a CD with an asf file that I could view on another PC. However, I have VideoStudio, and renaming the file to asf or avi does not work with this software. I wan't to be able to convert the video file to MPEG-1 so that I can burn a VCD or SVCD. Any suggestions?
