Does anyone know if there is a way to fix the guide update issues in 3.4.4?

Only way I could fix it was to format C: drive and start from scratch.

So your guide is working properly? This means there has to be a way to fix it.

you dont have to reformat. if you can't uninstall, follow these directions then you can reinstall.

- delete the BeyondTV install directory and its subdirectories
- delete the "\documents and settings\all users\application data\snapstream" directory and its subdirectories (tools/folder options/view all files)

Then open the registry editor (START BUTTON --> RUN --> REGEDIT) and navigate to the following sub-"folder":
hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\curr ent version\uninstall\
Find the entry in the left pane (in the top group of entries that look like "E4A39FDC-993C-4B30-B780-7C2A30109D23" that has the string value "DisplayName" key for BeyondTV / Personal Video Station. Delete that "folder" in the left pane.

NOTE: there may be multiple entries with "DisplayName" set as above. Please make sure to delete all of them.

Next, navigate to
hkey_classes_root\installer\products
Find the entry, as before, with the "ProductName" corresponding to BeyondTV / Personal Video Station. Delete that "folder" as well.

NOTE: there may be multiple entries with "ProductName" set as above. Please make sure to delete all of them.

You have now sucessfully fooled the Windows Installer into thinking that all previous versions are uninstalled.

I reformatted and it still doesn't work.

It doesn't automatically update. I forget what actual error comes up but I will look when I get home.

The only way to update it is to click Download Program Guide info and do it manually.

I don't even get an error, it just doesn't do anything at all. No entry in the log, no nothin'. Everything is set to work and there's no errors in the log or elsewhere. There was an official statement elsewhere and a work-around but it really didn't work either as I got up this morning and had EPG Data Low again. I had log entries saying the workaround was updating but apparently it wasn't.

As the 3.4.x line is coming to a close I'm impatiently waiting for 3.5. I find this whole ordeal rather tedious. There has been updates for far less than this.
