scheduled recordings cause processor peg

cannot get scheduled recordings to work on build 1334. when BTV is supposed to start recording, wtlpvsapp.exe pegs the processor at 100% (and remains that way well past the show's end time) and the only thing I can do is kill the task. the show that was supposed be recorded is not. I uninstalled (preserving settings) and then reinstalled but this did not help anything.

anyone seen this before?

Well I have not saw this before but what kind of hardware do you have (processor, ram, video card, tuner card), what quality settings are you using and does live tv work ok?

What are you using to change channels on your source. I noticed that when I installed HEREMOTE, it confused myblaster, and when a schedule kicked off, btv would max out the processor and fail to record. My solution was to run the BTV setup wizard again.

Re: scheduled recordings cause processor peg

The system is a P4 2.4Ghz, 1GB RAM, Radeon 9600 Pro, PVR-250. Default quality settings and live tv works great.

Using USB-UIRT to control my Pioneer Voyager digital cable box.

I did the setup wizard when I re-installed BTV. guess I'll do a complete uninstall and remove all settings too... then reinstall again.

Re: scheduled recordings cause processor peg

Think I figured it out. I had upgraded from PVS 3.3, which was setup to save recordings to "D:\Video\Personal Video Station\Shows". After the upgrade was when I really started setting up scheduled recordings, and the BTV admin was set to save recordings to "D:\Video\Beyond TV\Shows"... which did not exist, and the option to create the directory if it did not exist was not checked.

On top of this was a new girder GML file for Firefly, which caused issues with BTV controlling the set top box.

Anyway, tested it out last night and it worked great. Thanks for the help anyways.
