[1/2/2002 17:01:57] CProfile::GetByID failed.
[1/2/2002 17:01:57] Record: Quality profile: "Near VHS"
[1/2/2002 17:01:57] Tuning to channel 1 (1250000 Hz).
[1/2/2002 17:01:57] Loading tuning interface "Hauppauge WinTV PCI series" (hauppauge.dll).
[1/2/2002 17:02:00] Record: Capture Interface: DirectShow.
[1/2/2002 17:02:00] Video: "Hauppauge WinTV Capture" is selected.

After that I get an winxp error box, the details are this:

ssd Error signature:
AppName: ssw.exe AppVer: 2.0.0.1331 ModName: rmmpeg2.ax
ModVer: 4.6.139.0 Offset: 0001c566

I don't get this kind of error on my windows 2K nor windows 98 machine, only on the xp one.
It's a PIII 733 with 512 mb ram.

If you change your tuning interface to Directshow instead of Hauppuage WinTV PCI series, does this still crash still occur?

The site of hauppauge learned me that it would be better to use an older driver with the Theatre version of the card, so I did, and that fixed it

thanx anyway

It seems that i am unable to use the software (hangs on: start recording, hardware wizard,...) using the WDM driver of hauppauge, only with the standard mode driver. I am trying to use the latest beta driver, but i don't think that will work either.
On a windows 9x box it would be easy to use the regular driver because there is a nice beta that runs wel, but isn't compatible with NT-family (nt, 2k, xp) and the older driver has some nasty bugs.

Anyway, I hope there is a way to use my Haupauge card with the WDM driver and this nice piece of software.
