Support for Emuzed MAUI II ?

I've a pc with windows media center using one of the few media center tuners the Emuzed Maui II.

http://www.emuzed.com/products_maui.html

It is a very impressive card with extremely high mpeg 2 quality in HW and low noise. I would like to use snapstream though and although I didn't try yet, it seems not being supported (or so the list is saying).

Anybody has experience with this card?

Before tossing $150 for a Hauppauge I wish to try this one, I've another question as well, how the Maui II comparte to the PVR250? THanks

Ahh, if you have the card why not download the free trial and report back if it works then perhaps it could be added as a supported card

Don't need the trial, I've the original

I've the original but it's on a different pc with an old winTV card with no HW compression. The pc is very powerful (dual Athlon) so it's doing a decent job compressing stuff, now I want to move everything to the final pc (a shuttle box currently having win media center) but it's a lot of work if then it's not working. That is the reason why I was asking.

One thing I don't know is if this application is customized for each and any TV card or if I can use anyone but only someone are tested.

If it is the latter I will try to install it and give you guys a feedback. Anybody knows?

Thanks

I don't know the *exact* way it works, but there are definitely cards that do not work with it. For example a hardware-based encoder Win-TV PVR (the old kind, years before the PVR250) will not work.

If you have a version, can you not burn it to a cd, or using the shuttle box connect to the internet and try download a trial, just to test it. Thats the whole point of the trial to see if works with your entire hardware package (tuner plus video, cpu, etc)

I too am curious if it does work now, if it uses the same chipset as the PVR250 its quite possible...

Ok so I did some research, Rkuo claims it was added a couple of versions ago (his thread is dated in August) here...

http://discuss2.snapstream.com/vb/sh...ghlight=Emuzed

So i guess I would try it with good confidence... I forgot the supported devices are somewhat outdated, as I know of atleast one card not on there that does work...

Humerous comment by Cmasters as well about Sage 2 being released later that month (September) in that thread as well...
