Recording and Time-shifting at the same time

My system has an ATI AIW 9000 card for TV out, and a PVR 250 for TV recording. Can I record shows and watch Live TV with time-shifting at the same time? Any tips for configuring such a setup? The machine runs on a 2GHz Athlon XP with 512 MB ram.

You want to record one channel and watch the other at the same time? That would require dual tuners (ie: another PVR250), and *should* hopefully be in the next release of BTV.

If you want to watch recordings and record a channel at the same time that is entirely possible. Just hit record, exit to the main menu and select recordings.

I want to watch a Live channel and record another one at the same time. Technically, I do have dual tuner -- AIW and PVR 250. I recently bought the PVR 250. Before, my AIW worked resonably ok, but whenever I turned time-shifting on, the video would become very jerky. Probably because it has to record live shows and display it at the same time. I'm very satisfied with the PGVR 250's recording performance, haven't tried the time-shifting yet.
