Amazing Race & Survivor Talk

Don't know if anyone around here watches any reality (or is it unreality) shows, but I tend to watch Amazing Race & Survivor.

Last nights Amazing Race where Mary and Dave come in last again, but are told its a non-elimination round AGAIN! I like Amazing Race best of the reality shows, but this coincidence is seeming kind of like a "fixed" game to me.

Re: Amazing Race & Survivor Talk

I watch them both.

In AR the blunders by the teams baffle me. READ THE CLUES/DIRECTIONS! So much fighting especially from the black women (Alabama?) They seem to think they do nothing mean. It's a race and I wonder why the "six pack" is so concerned about helping Mary and Dave (Kentucky?). Granted Alabama have said they wont if it comes down to it.

Survivor is just not that exciting anymore but I still watch it. Kind of like Lost.

Re: Amazing Race & Survivor Talk

Both Survivor and Lost are losing my interest, but I'll probably watch them the rest of this season to see how it goes.

Re: Amazing Race & Survivor Talk

I watch them both because they are still somewhat interesting and are something we can watch with our kids.

We probably like AR best because of the different places and cultures that are shown. It's a pretty fast-paced show too. I don't think it's rigged, though. I just think the Kentucky couple are SLOW so they keep falling to the back.

Survivor still has something. It's different every time because of the different people, but I do sometimes get tired of the contestants always talking about 'the game'. But even with some luster gone, it's still fairly entertaining and I don't feel like I've wasted 44 minutes watching it.

Re: Amazing Race & Survivor Talk

I love Survivor. It still holds my interest because of the different locations and the mix of personalities they have each series.

I use to watch Amazing Race but it got boring. The last one I watched was when they had the families, and I only ended up seeing maybe 3 eps and that was it. It bored me to tears pretty much.

Re: Amazing Race & Survivor Talk

Amazing Race just doesn't do it for me anymore. Oh well.
Survivor, however, is still fresh with interesting challenges, new twists, and the always interesting personalities.
And I'm also waiting for the Apprenitice to come back!

Re: Amazing Race & Survivor Talk

The Amazing Race with the families was pretty boring. They had to really curtail the travel and tasks because of the kids.

The current AR is actually pretty good though. They have thrown in a couple of new things and there is enough sniping amongst the groups to make it fun, not to mention the 2 pairs of hotties they included (one of which is still in contention).

I love The Apprentice. That's one of my fave reality shows. The UK version is brilliant as well. Sir Alan Sugar is the one hiring in that show and he's brutal to the contestants. If they mess up he goes mad on them. He makes Trump look like the nicest guy on the planet.

Re: Amazing Race & Survivor Talk

I haven't seen any of these reality shows. I guess they just don't seem interesting to me.
